Episode: An Evening with Brett Wislon

This past Monday, a building at Ryerson University normally filled with the hustle and bustle of students moving from one classroom to another was filled with a different sort of education as Brett Wilson shared his stories of becoming an entrepreneur.

This sort of conversation is not an unusual one as Sean Wise is a consultant on Dragon’s Den, the show that most people recognize Brett Wilson from. The difference was that this time it was in jam packed theatre room with cameras rolling.

That Monday also kicked off the start of Global Entrepreneurship Week, a worldwide celebration of innovators who launch startups, as a means of inspiring people through competitions, events and networking to help them explore their potential as self-starters.

The roughly hour long segment, was a candid one, which went beyond conversations about Brett’s new book, Redefining Success. The two spoken genuinely about life, making mistakes and of course entrepreneurship. As always, the audience was allowed questions afterwards.

The entirety of that conversation will be available in a couple of weeks, so be on the lookout for that.

The questions moved directly into a book signing, where a line never seemed cease. The pictures take can be found directly on our facebook page, for those who wish to have a tangible memory of the evening.

There were also a myriad of activities available to participate in afterwards, which the results of will be available to the public over the coming weeks.

The event was put together in part thanks to StartMeUp Ryerson, which is holding entrepreneurship events through the entire week. You can see more about them here
