Ali Zahid co-founder of Vanhawks
Ali Zahid is a Bio- medical engineering graduate from Queens University with experience in graphics design and business development. Ali is the co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of Vanhawks, a Toronto based startup which started out of FounderFuel tech accelerator in Montreal before becoming a Kickstarter sensation.
Vanhawks is a company dedicated to making smarter and safer bike commutes with their Valor Bike. The Valor bike is built from carbon fibre and uses smart technology to alert the driver of danger and assist in turn by turn navigation. The company turned to Kickstarter with the goal of raising $100,000 and they hit their target goal within 30 hours and ended up raising 8x the initial goal. Vanhawks sold more than $2M in bikes before one was ever made.
